Actual artspiration

At our school at the moment, we are studying portraiture. I have to say it one of the most exiting and engaging part of art, for me. I love drawing the face and adding a personality you drawing. I personally feel like it's a whole nother level and I don't know if you feel the same but I find it extremely beautiful.

In addition to portraiture, we are learning how to use charcoals an I swear, it is the most difficult things! It's as if the face itself isn't hard, but they need to make it even more difficult by adding the use of charcoal. Help me!!! The amazing thing about this medium is the texture that you can achieve. Don't know what I mean? Check out this peice!

Check out this!!! It's soo amazing and looks like a photo rather than a drawing. This vp derail is soo incredible. As you must have guessed this is not by me, and whilst I was searching for inspiration I found this. This is probably my goal in art, If only I could achieve this. Every aspect of this is so incredible. What do you feel about it? Comment below.

What are your goals in art?

  1. Don't me mad but look who stumbled across your blog. Why didn't you keep posting!?

And I do know what you mean; how particular mediums and talent can create not only photo-looking artworks but even realistic texture, and how somehow drawing faces is more satisfying because you're adding personality to the piece. And I reckon with enough patience you should be able to achieve this level of realism. Imagine how great you'll feel when you do - e.g. your brother.
